We are seeking an Evening Lighting Technician / Repair & Logistics who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand. This person also brings a spirit of fun, authenticity, collaboration, creativity and genuine hospitality to the lives of our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Be primary technician for all daily operational responsibilities related to show lighting
  • Have the ability to make programming changes to existing show programs and lighting software
  • Make operational decisions in response to changing situations
  • React to daily equipment needs and upkeep
  • Operate different types of lighting consoles and spotlights with and without called cues
  • Perform routine site maintenance and upkeep of lighting systems and related components, including high-level investigation and problem solving
  • Complete repairs on cabling systems and modern moving-light fixtures
  • Be responsible for multiple show tracks
  • Provide technical backup support to multiple park venues as needed
  • Share knowledge and best use cases with other technical team members
  • Work well with Stage Manager, cast and crew
  • Staging and resetting various stages for next show
  • Changing stage sets for different shows
  • Wear Dollywood Entertainment provided costume or uniform
  • Keep work area orderly, neat, safe, and well-maintained
  • Assist in other areas of Entertainment Division as directed
  • Drive company vehicles to transport personnel and / or supplies
  • Participate in work calls and complete tasks in a timely manner

Education And Experience Required

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with lighting instruments and a working knowledge of electricity
  • Knowledge of function and troubleshooting of various equipment and software, including Hog consoles, DMX control, and Qlab
  • Experience in programming lighting software and show control systems, preferred
  • Must operate lighting system in a safe manner
  • Must be able to operate a computer and be knowledgeable of general use programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of installation, operation and repair of modern moving-light fixtures
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • ETCP certification in theater rigging and electrical preferred but not required
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment offer background check and drug screening

  • Ability to operate / drive a company vehicle with valid driver's license
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand patch sheets and manuals
  • Ability to tolerate temperatures and work outdoors
  • Physical mobility for walking, kneeling, crawling, bending, reaching, twisting, and moving in tight spaces
  • Ability to work on varied surfaces and lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
  • Reading, writing, and math skills for labeling consoles / cables and diagram patch sheets
  • Hearing clearly in noisy environments; good color and depth perception
  • Ability to climb and work at heights up to 80 ft and communicate over headset and radio
  • Ability to perform duties safely according to Dollywood safety policies
  • Ability to sweep and mop floors to maintain safety
