Job Description :
L3Harris is looking for an Integration & Test and Field Service Engineering Lead with comprehensive knowledge of RF and / or Radar Systems with in-depth knowledge of integration, test and field installation of similar complex systems.
Essential Functions :
- Responsible for leading Integration & test and field service engineers, who are responsible for system level Integration & Test and Field Service Teams, ensuring electrical, physical and operational compatibility to meet program technical, schedule and cost objectives.
- Responsible for the integration and test of electromechanical systems from the system design phase through development, documentation, installation and sell-off of the completed system.
- Integration responsibilities include the review or development, and execution of integration procedures for hardware, software, and facilities.
- Responsible for the physical and electrical compatibility of functional interfaces and first article product integration, ensuring seamless interface between the design and production of systems.
- Test responsibilities include requirements analysis for testability approach to identify any issues, specialized test capability and verification method.
- Responsible for the review, development, implementation of system level test plans, procedures, customer acceptance, etc.
- Collaborates with Systems Engineering to define Requirements Verification Matrices (VCRMs) that balances capabilities, cost and efficiency of verification (test vs. analysis).
- Responsible for the Cost Account Management (CAM) and statusing of multiple projects for I&T.
- Plans and leads test working groups and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
- Direct interface with Program Management, Chief Systems Engineer (CSE) & Customer regarding all Staffing, Integration, Verification, and Installation Planning.
- Takes direct role at program status meetings, reviews, anomaly investigations & other issues.
- Responsible for troubleshooting failures of the tests and tracking issues through resolution.
- Solid understanding of various RF and electronic testing tools and techniques.
- Identify risks & opportunities for specific test activities.
- Evaluate / Define test equipment requirements (RF hardware & software) needed for verification of System level requirements.
- Coordinates customer site surveys, training, installation, Site Acceptance Test and all other on site activities with the Program Manager and Field Engineers.
- Direct customer interaction on site, representing L3Harris and gathering Voice of Customer.
- Travel as needed.
- Ensure full compliance with L3Harris policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 15 years of prior related experience.
- 9+ years experience as a Technical Team Lead / Integrated Project Team Lead (IPTL).
- 7+ years experience with using high-speed digital and RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscope, logic analyzers, etc.).
- 7+ years experience in RF or Digital engineering (MW MCAs, FPGAs, CCAs, PWBs, etc.) and troubleshooting techniques, tools, and process.
- 5+ years experience supporting manufacturing production of electronic devices; preferably in the Radar Systems industry.
- Prior experience generating presentations and briefing internal and external customers.
- Prior experience executing throughout the full System lifecycle including requirements flow down and allocation, design, development, test, and sell-off.
- Active US DOD SECRET security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills :
- Prior experience as a Team Lead, Cost Account Manager (CAM), Field Service Engineer or similar role responsible for managing people, time and labor budgets.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in Radar Systems or related industry.
- Previous experience supporting DoD / government customers.
- Military Hardware Environmental and Electrical Qualification.
- Familiarity with Mil-STD 810g and Mil-STD 461g Testing and Analysis.
- Experience with OSHA requirements and ESD best practices.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $122,500 - $227,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
