Responsibilities

This opportunity is full-time at 36 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. MUST HAVE ONE YEAR ACUTE CARE EXPERIENCE AND NICU EXPERIENCE.

Job Requirements :

Delivers all aspects of Respiratory Care to all age groups. Assists in the orientation and training of new staff members and acts as a resource person.

Is able to cross train in other areas and willing to float to fulfill hospital needs. Participates in department QI studies, Inservices, and meetings.

Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Assesses and maintains airway, assists with intubation, transport of the intubated stroke patient.

Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1 hour online training.

Qualifications

Graduate of an AMA approved program. Current registered respiratory therapist license in the State of Florida.

Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP & STABLE certifications required

Minimum one (1) year experience in neonatal intensive care services and / or completion of department's NICU orientation is required.

Minimum one (1) year experience in an acute critical care is required.
