Environmental Health and Safety EHS Specialist

As an EHS Technician you will be a key strategic partner responsible for ensuring compliance with EHS regulations and driving continuous improvement across the Williamsport MD plant.

This role requires a proactive leader who can assess the current safety program identify opportunities for improvement and help transition safety from HR oversight to operations .

You ll collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager (a veteran) and other leaders to build and implement enhanced safety strategies while supporting the installation of new production lines and capital equipment upgrades .

Although this role has no direct reports influencing across multiple departments will be critical to your success.

Program Review & Improvement :

Assess the current EHS program identifying gaps and recommending strategic upgrades.

Compliance Management :

Ensure ongoing compliance with OSHA and other relevant environmental health and safety regulations.

Inspection & Monitoring :

Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facility identifying risks and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Implementation of Safety Programs :

Partner with leadership to build and execute EHS initiatives that align with operational goals.

Influence & Collaboration :

Collaborate with leaders at all levels to drive safety culture and ensure smooth implementation of EHS practices.

Operational Support :

Support the engineering team during the installation of new equipment and production lines ensuring safety protocols are followed.
