Compensation : $110,000 - $150,000 (Base Salary)

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Infrastructure Estimator to join our team. This position involves estimating various scopes of work related to heavy civil infrastructure projects, such as removals, grading, concrete structures, and aggregate placement.

You will collaborate closely with estimators, project managers, and the Chief Estimator to develop accurate and competitive project bids.

The role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with industry-standard estimating software, including HCSS Heavy Bid.

Responsibilities : Project Analysis :

Project Analysis :

• Review project specifications, plans, and Geotechnical Reports.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site visits to determine site conditions and project scope.

Scope of Work Determination :

• Identify self-performed work versus subcontracted work.
• Solicit subcontractors and material suppliers, including DBE or SBE subcontractor requirements.

Bid Package Preparation :

Develop bid packages for various subcontractor and supplier scopes of work and send out RFQs.

Estimating & Bid Preparation :

• Prepare estimates by performing take-offs, setting up estimate files, and building activities and logic in HCSS Heavy Bid software.
• Enter quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers into HCSS, making appropriate awards.

Bid Review :

• Conduct bid reviews with the Chief Estimator and management team before bid submission.
• Ensure timely decisions on bids and submit bid documents as directed by the Chief Estimator.

Requirements : Education :

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Construction Management , or a related field from a four-year college, technical school, or university.

Experience :

• A minimum of 5 years of heavy civil / roadway estimating experience involving removals, grading, concrete structures, aggregate placement, airport runways, and related scopes of work.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with industry-standard estimating software, such as HCSS Heavy Bid , AGTEK , OST , P6 , Excel , or equivalent.

Skills :

• Strong technical knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, materials, and estimating processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, decision-making, and time management skills.

Desired Skills :

Experience with Bid2Win software and bottom-up estimating.
