Job Responsibilities
Maintains a high level of excellence in teaching by communicating and interacting effectively with students enrolled in courses within the program area.
Prepares materials needed for instruction and ensuring the readiness of facilities for class activities; evaluation and reporting of students’ progress;
assigning and assisting students on class projects; creating and delivering lecture demonstrations. Keep student records and adheres to course schedules.
Must have a broad knowledge of the residential HVAC industry and HVAC installation, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
HVAC instructors will teach the following courses : HVAC Electrical Operation and Diagnostics, HVAC Refrigeration Cycle Operation and Diagnostics, Heat Pump Operations and Diagnostics, Air Flow Design, Measurement and Diagnostics, Epa Certification Prep, Brazing for HVAC, and Customer Service for HVAC Technicians.

This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Associate’s degree in HVAC / R or related skilled trade field and three years of experience, or a certificate in HVAC and five years of HVAC industry experience including training or mentoring new employees.
Additionally, the candidate must have their Universal EPA- license.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education with formal training in HVAC / R and three years of teaching in the classroom or in industry.
