Job Responsibilities
Midlands Technical College’s English Department is seeking energetic, engaged, student-centered instructors to join our community and help us provide an open, accessible, and high-quality college experience for MTC’s students.
The department provides support for new faculty through mentorship by full-time faculty serving as course coordinators. We also have a robust in-house history of professional development primarily driven by reflection on our classroom experiences with students.
Teach a variety of English courses (primarily ENG , Introduction to Composition; ENG , English Composition I; ENG , English Composition II;
ENG , Technical Communications; and / or ENG , Professional Communications). Submit semester and course calendars. Use online platforms to enhance teaching and learning and keep attendance records and e-portfolio (training provided).
Report on student progress as needed based on college initiatives. Participate in collection of data pertaining to student learning outcomes and competencies.
Complete required training as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Master’s degree in English or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in English. Applicants should submit a resume curriculum vitae and a brief cover letter.
