Marketing Planning & Project Coordination Manager

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Planning & Project Coordination Manager to join the Marketing Operations team within our Marketing division.

In this role, the Marketing Planning & Project Coordination Manager will work with the Director of Business Operations on the marketing planning discipline and driving key strategic projects for the Marketing Executive Team.

The role will facilitate items such as the annual marketing planning process, developing quarterly business reviews with business stakeholders, leading strategic projects for the organization and more.

This individual will be adept at finding solutions to strategic issues while possessing a depth of business process knowledge and a broad-based operational perspective.

We’re looking for a sharp, analytical thinker who is comfortable creating structure and navigating through ambiguity to meet operational objectives.

This role requires significant engagement with leaders across the Marketing team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides recommendations and consultation to the Marketing leadership team, leveraging marketing performance data and execution dashboard.
  • Collaborates with marketing leaders to achieve alignment with the corporate strategy and key priorities.
  • Ensures that the marketing teams execute the plans on time and on budget.
  • Orchestrates the annual marketing planning process e.g. milestones, participants, actions, templates, calendar , ensuring marketing’s goals are aligned with sales and product objectives, and that each function’s contribution to the plan is coordinated and aligned to help achieve business objectives and efficiency.
  • Leads key transformative projects identified with marketing leaders e.g. definition, milestones, ownership, measurement, execution .
  • Ensures that marketing’s performance measurement framework is leveraged to improve key functions and campaigns.
  • Drives marketing participation in business reviews.
  • Regularly reviews plan and adapts it to address market changes.
  • Ensures impact-level marketing measurement and executive reporting on marketing’s contribution to the business.
  • Gathers and disseminates internal and external marketing best practices.
  • Participates in the development of organizational alignment, competency assessments and skills development for the marketing organization.

Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and experience managing high-touch relationships.
  • Strong project management and process skills; project management certification useful but not required.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a bias for action.
  • Solutions oriented, ability to be flexible and deal with ambiguous situations.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
  • Precision and attention to detail.
  • Capability to reduce complexity and to identify / handle dependencies.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills.
