The Manager of Compensation and HRIS will manage the company’s compensation strategies and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining competitive and equitable compensation programs while ensuring the HRIS supports the organization's goals and HR functions effectively.
The Manager will work closely with the HR team and other departments to ensure data integrity, compliance, and the smooth operation of compensation and HRIS processes.
This job reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and is an integral member of the HR Leadership Team.
Job Responsibilities :
Compensation Management
- Develop and manage comprehensive compensation plans, including salary structures, incentive plans, and equity programs to attract, motivate, and retain talent
- Conduct market analyses and benchmark compensation data to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry standards
- Oversee job evaluations and classifications, ensuring consistency and alignment with company policies and legal requirements
- Manage the annual salary review process, including merit increases, promotions, and adjustments
- Provide guidance to HR and management on compensation-related issues
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation, including FLSA, Equal Pay Act, and other relevant laws
- Provide regular reporting and analysis of compensation data and make data-driven recommendations for compensation strategies and adjustments
HRIS Management
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security
- Lead or participate in the implementation of new HRIS modules or system upgrades and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners as needed
- Ensure accurate and timely input of employee data into the HRIS and manage data audits and clean-up initiatives to maintain high-quality information and data integrity
- Continuously evaluate and improve HRIS processes, workflows, and system functionality to enhance the efficiency of HR operations
- Provide training and support to HR staff and other system users, ensuring they are equipped to utilize the HRIS effectively
- Develop and generate regular and ad-hoc reports from the HRIS, providing insights and data analysis to support HR decision-making
Leadership
- Supervise and mentor staff within the compensation and HRIS functions, providing guidance, performance management, and development opportunities
- Work closely with HR leadership and other departments to ensure alignment of compensation and HRIS initiatives with organizational goals
- Contribute to the development of the overall HR strategy, particularly in areas related to compensation and HRIS
Job Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.
g., CCP, PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in compensation management and HRIS
- Experience with HRIS systems such as Oracle HCM, Workday, ADP, or similar platforms
- Strong proficiency in HRIS systems, compensation analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of compensation regulations, compliance standards, and market analysis techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills required with the ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences and build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity in managing sensitive and confidential employee information
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent internal customer service to HR staff, management, and employees
- Proactively seek out opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance HRIS and compensation practices
