To support that challenge, Syngenta is currently seeking a HSES (Health, Safety, Environmental & Security) Lead in Omaha, NE.
The HSES Lead will be responsible for monitoring plant procedures and processes to ensure compliance and conformity to OSHA, EPA, federal, state and local regulations.
Accountabilities :
- Liberate potential by analyzing incidents to improve plant safety and environmental performance, provide a creative work environment for the development and delivery of training programs, and create edge through involvement with all site employees.
- Develop and deliver training to site relating to HSES topics.
- Complete environmental reporting to meet external and internal requirements.
- Review incident reports, identify and communicate trends to stakeholders.
- Write / review / revise Plant Safety and Environmental Procedures.
- Coordinate / lead Incident Analysis Teams for significant plant incidents and near misses.
- Coordinate the Water treatment certification / recertification training for the certified waste-water technicians with the NDEQ.
- Serve as resource to site Safety Teams, resident contractors, and plant functional areas.
- Lead PRA (Process Risk Assessments) at site.
- Lead Audits on PSM like processes (MOCs, SOP’s, & Training)
Qualifications
Required :
- A minimum of a 4-year degree, preferably in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, and / or relevant science field.
- Experience working in an Industrial, Chemical, Agri-Chemical and / or Manufacturing plant environment.
- Knowledge of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Loss Prevention programs.
Preferred :
- Knowledge of TRI, FIFRA, Tier II and Air Emissions reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of Industrial Hygiene practices and processes.
- Understand how to work with and lead teams to identify and develop action plans to resolve issues that affect the site.
- Knowledge of SWPPP and SPCC plans and compliance.
- Experience performing HSES equipment PM’s.
- Experience in maintain site WRA’s and PPE matrixes.
- Experience performing IH related monitoring and analysis.
