Experience Desired : Large Miami firm seeks commercial litigation paralegal
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide support to lawyers during the entire litigation process from inception thru trial
Paralegal must have strong discovery experience and prior experience with large cases
E-discovery management is a big +
Experience working on briefs and cite checking
Correspondence and discovery
Assist with preparing the attorney for hearings and trials
Paralegal must be familiar with retrieval, review, and production of documents.
Maintenance of case pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and research '
Must have strong writing skills and summation skills
Strong research skills
Maintain document, transcript, and work product databases
Prepare trial binders
Assist with trial site preparation and attend trials
Conduct legal research
Organize and prepare exhibit lists and / or privilege logs
Coordinate work with outside document / litigation vendors, including adherence to strict deadlines ' Maintain confidentiality of client information ' Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS :
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with or without direct supervision
Strong time management skills
Ability to keep accurate and timely deadlines.
Strong computer skills
Relativity and / or summation is a big plus
Microsoft Excel preferred
Excellent job tenure preferred
