Groove Toyota is hiring an experienced Automotive Recon Technician to join our team in Englewood, CO. Sign-on bonus of up to $5k or relocation assistance for competitive candidates! Pay range is based on experience and qualifications : $70,00 - $110,000 per year

Position Overview :

The reconditioning technician is detail-oriented technician role responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned by dealer and factory standards.

Will execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications; Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.

Essential Functions :

  • Receive repair orders from the dispatcher.
  • Perform work as outlined on the repair order efficiently and accurately, according to dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform the repair.
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is unnecessary or required and if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Document work performed.
  • Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, remember that the customer vehicle should not be used for personal errands.
  • Supervise the work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
  • Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean.
  • Keep the shop area neat and clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Requirements :

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
  • Authorized to work in the United States
