Senior Business Analyst

Within the spirit of Making People’s Dreams Come True , this position applies principles of business analysis to investigate and analyze issues and problems with Oracle Cloud ERP and associated systems and identify address beneficial processes and functionality.

These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Full Time, Onsite position

Competitive salary based on experience : Starting salary at $90,000

Responsibilities :

• Analyzes Project Costing data transactions for accuracy and completeness to ensure proper accounting and reporting.
• Supports the configuration and use of the Oracle Cloud ERP Financial, Project Costing and Procurement Module.
• Develops and provides regular reporting as well as handle ad hoc data requests.
• Represents financial systems user base in process implementations, integrations, and automation discussions to ensure requirements and outcomes are accurate.
• Understands the needs of the business and creates appropriate functional designs.
• Creates test plan and executes the test cases as part of Unit and User Acceptance testing.
• Identifies potential process improvement areas, develops, and implements solutions.
• Leads data mapping efforts between ERP software and other existing data sources.
• Reviews and ensures data integrity and data processing job results.
• Assists in the creation and maintenance of configuration documentation.
• Involved in full-cycle implementation activities including requirements gathering, design, testing, training, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Collaborates and cooperates with Oracle support and other service providers.
• Manages implementations of Oracle modules and related systems and other project management activities.
• High-level of emotional intelligence and empathy with the financial systems user base.

Education & Experience Requirements :

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
• Demonstrated skill in preparation and maintenance of implementation and enhancement documentation.
• Highly skilled MS Excel user with extensive knowledge of high level, Excel functionality including advanced data analysis formulae, VBA, modeling, forecasting, data validation and aggregation to create meaningful and reliably accurate reporting from large data sets.
• Above average skills in other MS Office applications, including Visio and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity and experience using relational database reporting tools ex. Microsoft Query, Crystal Reports, Oracle Business Intelligence.
• Foundational knowledge of relational database structure including SQL language.
• Innate business curiosity.
• Desire to understand business needs from other users to define and structure deliverables.
• Working knowledge of software development and support methodologies including Oracle Cloud tools and processes.
• Familiarity in underlying Oracle ERP applications database architecture, as well as Oracle Cloud database and development tools (JCS, APEX, OIC, PL / SQL, SQL Plus, Forms, Reports)
• Familiarity with Oracle EssBase & SmartView a plus.
• Familiarity with Subledger / GL account reconciliation process.
• Oracle Cloud ERP applications functional experience : Oracle Financials, Project Portfolio Management, Procurement a plus, especially in a cloud environment.
• Preferred - Understanding of project costing.
• Preferred More than 3 years’ experience supporting and modifying Oracle ERP Cloud.
• Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills.
• Ability to analyze complex transactions and reports and make appropriate entries and / or recommendations.
• General experience with Service Management principals and systems.
• Experience with ConnectWise Manage a plus.
