Manager of Communication Programs
The United Soybean Board (USB) seeks an engaged, detail-oriented Manager of Communication Programs to play a crucial role in promoting soy usage across the United States.
This position offers a unique opportunity to foster relationships with Qualified State Soybean Boards (QSSBs) while executing impactful communication programs that support America's soybean farmers.
Responsibilities :
- Manage QSSB relationships, serving as a key liaison between USB and QSSBs.
- Develop and review communications for grant programs and QSSB initiatives.
- Create engaging content for multiple channels, including newsletters and social media.
- Manage agendas and content for routine webinars and meetings with QSSBs.
- Direct and review communication-related work from agency partners.
- Track and optimize performance across assigned communication channels.
- Help manage program budgets and coordinate stakeholder relations activities.
- Collaborate with the Reputation & Insights team to deliver tailored solutions and timely updates.
Required Qualifications & Competencies :
- Associates required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 8-10 years of professional experience, with 5-7 years in the agriculture industry specifically.
- Strong background in agriculture; experience with checkoff organizations strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- Deep understanding of farmer perspectives and information consumption habits.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with social media channels.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) and USDA program guidelines.
- A history of working with farmers or living on a farm is a significant plus.
