50 FLSA Job Summary / Basic Function Student Health and Wellness (SHW) Office Assistants provide front-desk customer service and program support for the SHW Program. This includes :
- Open the SHW office. Ensure door is unlocked and check-in computer is on and functioning. (Professionalism, Technology)
- Answer main phone line for SHW and monitor SHW email address. Answer questions, refer to resources and direct to professional staff, as appropriate.

Greet students at the SHW front desk. Answer questions, check students in for appointments, distribute prizes for Wellness Rewards, etc.

Provide support to SHW pro staff as needed to support department programming. Attend events, hang posters, coordinate with other departments, etc.

- Provide clerical support. Maintain inventory, data entry, record maintenance, etc. (Communication, Critical Thinking, Technology)
- Assist with campus errands as needed. Pick up mail, purchase supplies at bookstore, pick up from copy center, etc. (Teamwork) Required Qualifications - Excellent communication (both written and verbal), customer service, and computer skills
- Current undergraduate WSU student.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Preferred Qualifications - Customer service experience
- Declared major in a health-related program (Health Promotion, Public Health, Nutrition, Social Work, Psychology, Exercise and Sport Science, Health Administration, etc.)
