This is a 1st shift position.
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day activities within the shipping department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Communicates to customer via the DDL system
- Thoroughly examines the customer’s daily material requirements.
- Sets up and scans outgoing loads to our customers.
- Schedules the incoming and outgoing trucks into our facility.
- Handles any expedited shipments to our customers.
- Has the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to product, process, and quality system.
- Has the authority to perform all essential functions of the Shipping / Receiving Assistant’s position as needed.
- Accepts responsibility for continuous improvement in the materials process.
- Provides the Materials Manager feedback on performance of shipping personnel.
- Treats all other team members with respect and dignity.
- Performs other essential functions as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
College Degree in a business related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS : Computer literate.
Computer literate.
MAJOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS :
Team members must be able to stand on concrete floor for the duration of work shift, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor, and use arms and hands.
The team member must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and repetitively lift 10 20 pounds to a height of 48 inches.
Visual precision is needed for reading documents, machine dial gauges, and possibly blueprints and precision measuring instruments.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Stamping and assembly factory environment, and subject to high noise levels from operational machines and physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
