PURPOSE :
The Project Manager West Jordan, is responsible for leading, supporting, and facilitating West Jordan enterprise projects.
This role will manage projects, take on individual contributor tasks, collaborate with cross-functional team members and site leadership.
The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring project work is carried out to the highest quality standards, projects are delivered on-time, and within budget resulting in successful project results.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Create a project management PMO structure for prioritization and optimization of shared site resources.
- Manage reporting, budgeting, and payback investment analysis for designated site projects through the PMO.
- Manage and coach individuals and project teams to meet site goals and deploy KPIs for monitoring projects.
- May have individuals reporting directly to them or indirectly through project assignments.
- Participate in the assessment, planning, and implementation of new SLC site capabilities.
- Support cross-functional teams / individuals evaluating business process improvements.
- Lead projects related to site priorities for materials, warehousing, distribution, and inventory controls.
- Participate on site team for ERP-related module updates and other software implementations.
- Perform risk assessments of assigned projects and develop & monitor mitigation plans.
- Assist in the development of a site business continuity plan addressing existing & planned value chains.
- Guide people and teams addressing questions and concerns regarding enterprise projects or opportunities.
- Ensure alignment with project team and stakeholders by providing regular progress updates.
PREFERRED EDUCATION :
Bachelor’s Degree and / or related-experience in Operations-related areas of Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Warehousing / Distribution, or Organizational Development.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience preferably in the regulated Medical Device operations.
- Experience with business enterprise processes and a track record of implementing sustainable improvements.
- Knowledge of industry standard business processes for managing manufacturing / distribution operations.
- Experience leading improvement projects and managing organizational / operational growth and change.
- Working knowledge and experience implementing IT / software tools for improved business performance.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS :
- Excellent communication, cross-functional team, interpersonal, and time management skills required.
- Effective planning, reporting, and presentation skills along with dynamic team leadership engagement.
- Training / certifications in Lean / Six-Sigma, Project Management, and process improvement tools desirable.
- Ability to create and update process documents, evaluate, review, and approve change orders.
- Proficiency working with MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
