Scope :
Working with the Group CFO, the Group Controller will bring a wealth of expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statutory Accounting Principles, and have a strong background in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance industry.
As the Group Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the strategic financial decision-making process.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership, supporting decision-making processes to achieve organizational goals.
- Oversee the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective internal controls and financial processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and changes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and facilitate smooth audits.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Proven experience in the P&C insurance industry.
- Previous experience with a public accounting firm is preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience with financial systems and technology.
