Job Description

Are you ready to be part of an enduring legacy while crafting a dynamic future? For nearly 100 years, our client has achieved success through dedication, resilience, and continuous growth.

Now, they’re seeking a Head of People to build the foundation for the next century. This is your opportunity to work closely with the CEO and the leadership team to shape a visionary HR strategy that powers a thriving organization.

About the Role :

As the Head of People, you’ll be the architect of all HR programs, ensuring they align seamlessly with the company’s goals.

You’ll lead both strategy and hands-on execution, working across departments to implement and optimize people-centric initiatives.

This includes building leadership competencies, setting performance management standards, and creating an inclusive culture of high engagement and satisfaction.

Your work will include evaluating and enhancing HR structures, implementing HR technologies and programs, and setting the course for future growth.

You’ll oversee everything from talent acquisition to employee well-being programs, ensuring our client remains a top workplace.

This role is primarily remote, however, the individual needs to be located near one of its three operational hubs : Sacramento, CA (HQ), Riverton, Utah (Salt Lake City) or Renton, Washington.

There is occasional travel to all locations. The role reports directly to the CEO and supervises a small team. The employee headcount is currently 280 in a manufacturing environment.

What you will do :

  • Strategic Leadership : Collaborate with senior leadership to develop a long-term HR roadmap and align HR strategies with company objectives.
  • Talent Development : Build and implement leadership development programs, succession planning, and training to ensure a robust talent pipeline.
  • Organizational Effectiveness : Conduct ongoing assessments to optimize workforce performance, resolve complex employee relations issues, and drive business success.
  • Employee Engagement & Satisfaction : Design engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and well-being efforts that foster a supportive, high-performance culture.
  • Operational Oversight : Manage payroll and compliance, serve as a strategic consultant on workforce adjustments, and provide data-driven insights to executive leadership.

What we are looking for :

  • A Strategic Visionary and Hands-On Leader : Someone who can seamlessly move from strategic discussions to on-the-ground execution.
  • Experience & Expertise : With 10+ years in HR and deep knowledge of all HR disciplines, you’re a proven leader with a comprehensive understanding of employee relations, benefits, performance management, and compliance.
  • Change Champion : You’re adept at managing change and leading HR initiatives that drive transformation and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Data Centric : Measurement and accountability are key areas. All departments have detailed scorecards. Bring that focus to the people function and recommendations.

Why Join Us?

This is more than an HR role. It’s a chance to be part of a century-long legacy, shaping the workforce of tomorrow and creating meaningful impact for generations.

If you’re ready to make a difference and set a legacy of growth, we invite you to apply.
