This position will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the procurement process across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in supply chain management, vendor relations, and contract negotiation.

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing the purchase of products and services for the Company. They serve as the liaison in negotiations between the company and suppliers.
It is their responsibility to assess vendors, negotiate new deals and renegotiate expiring contracts, and place orders for products and services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES :
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Ensuring that all invoices are processed correctly and on time.
- Negotiating with vendors to get the best possible prices on materials or services.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement activities support organizational requirements.
- Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
- Analyze market trends and forecasts to make informed procurement decisions.
- Coordinating purchasing activities with other departments within the company to ensure consistency in approach, terminology, and implementation.
- Reviewing quotes from vendors to ensure that they meet all requirements and specifications of the job.
- Management of inventory levels by monitoring stock levels and ordering additional supplies when needed.
- Preparing purchase orders for all materials, equipment, and other items needed for the company’s production process.
- Communicating with suppliers regarding orders and shipping schedules.
- Reviewing bids from potential new suppliers to determine if they would be a good fit for the company.
- Preparing reports on inventory levels and purchase activity to help management make business decisions.
- Manage the transaction of invoices and orders in the system.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Will need to support both restaurant and hotel.
- Able to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS :
Education : High school diploma required. Bachelors’ degree preferred.
Experience Required : 2-3 years’ experience in purchasing or a related field.
Licenses or Certificates : Ability to obtain and / or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
Grooming : All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Company standards.
Languages : Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese preferred.
