Senior Computer Aided Design Technician

Job Description :

The CAD Design Technician uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 2D and 3D models for engineering and manufacturing projects. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of design principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities :

⦁ Create 2D surface models and 3D solid models using CAD software.

⦁ Develop accurate representations of products, components, or structures for design and analysis.

⦁ Support engineers by providing virtual models that allow for visualization, testing, and evaluation of potential improvements.

⦁ Prepare detailed design drawings, layouts, and documentation for production.

⦁ Assist in preparing cost estimates, assembly instructions, and maintenance manuals for installation, service, and repair teams.

⦁ Collaborate closely with engineers and other team members, contributing to various stages of the design and development process.

Qualifications :

⦁ Minimum of 7 years of experience in CAD design or a related field.

⦁ Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).

⦁ Strong understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and construction methods.

⦁ Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret technical specifications.

⦁ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
