Train Control Test & Commissioning Engineer

RK&K is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Train Control Test & Commissioning Engineer. As a member of our organization, you will have the opportunity to contribute to deployment of a safe and reliable rail and transit system providing oversight of the testing and commissioning of the wayside and onboard train control system.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, high levels of discretion, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The position will be full time in the project office in Riverdale, MD. Must be flexible in working hours and available to work at night or during weekends as needed to oversee testing.

Essential Functions :

• Review and approve train control and integration tests
• Oversee execution of on-site train control and integration
• Collaborate with team members to achieve organizational goals
• Perform a variety of tasks related to train control testing and commissioning
• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of train control testing and commissioning
• Maintain accurate records
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
• Adapt to changing priorities
• Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork

Required Skills and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in railway signaling engineering, verification & validation, testing & commissioning, or maintenance
• Experience in troubleshooting complex issues involving internal and external interfacing
• Knowledge of Siemens Trackguard Westrace Mk II and / or Siemens Trainguard MT Zub
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in relevant software applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks
