We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Manager at our Houston - Woodway community.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the independent, assisted living, and memory care communities.

Ensures that residents, guests, and team members have a positive impression of the community as it relates to cleanliness, orderliness, and safety.

The organized, systematic cleaning of common areas, apartments, and projects will create this impression. The Housekeeping Manager reports directly to our Housekeeping Director who oversees day to day operations of the community's Housekeeping department. Responsibilities...

• Scheduling staff
• Training and managing staff
• Communicating with residents
• Coordinate common area cleaning and resident room schedule
• Following job routines and schedules, fill in as needed to cover shifts
• Make ready cleaning as assigned by administration
• Project work as assigned
• Chemical & Supplies- ordering and inventory
• Understands responsibility to maintain confidentiality with financial records, employee payroll, and resident / staff issues.
• Discuss and report issues / conflicts, as appropriate to ED and Housekeeping Director
• Requires prolonged standing, walking, frequent lifting of 30 to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.

Activity level is high.

Required...

• Experience cleaning in private or hospitality based cleaning environments or equivalent experience and education.
• Experience with managing staff.
• Ability to understand and operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work in a systematic fashion.
• Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to interact positively with others.
• Demonstrates caring and compassionate attitude.
