Summary

The Manager People Applications Process and Solutions is responsible for leading a team of functional SAP HR experts who partner with the business analyst(s), SAP Development and SAP Analytics teams to design, build, test and implement SAP Human Resource solutions for Flowers Foods.

This team of SAP experts supports transformation, delivery and realization of SAP Human Resource solutions and SAP related 3rd party Human Resource applications and execute SAP IT Management processes in Solution Manager.

The Manager provides technical expertise and governance of Flowers overall SAP Success Factors EC ECPY landscape. This role is responsible for all Human Resources related applications and appliances including SuccessFactors, EC ECPY, LMS, Workforce, plant kiosks etc.

This role partners closely with the IT Business Relationship Management organization, other IT stakeholders and the Flowers business to ensure that Flowers maximizes the SAP investment and related adjacent technologies integrate efficiently and consistently with the broader ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee activities that optimize value, cost and risk of SAP Human Resources applications :
  • Design and implement SAP human resources solutions.
  • Review, Approve and Create functional design documents for enhancements, integrations, and data conversions.
  • Execute SAP human resources functional activities in partnership with Business Relationship Management Human Resource Team, SAP Development, SAP Analytics teams and the SAP managed and SAP related 3rd party human resource application service providers.
  • Mentor SAP analysts.
  • Continually assess the impact of emerging SAP technologies against strategic business needs and interpret business value for the IT management.
  • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of new and existing SAP human resources applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing technical and quality standards, guidance and reference architectures.
  • Develop productive relationships with business across the organization to influence how SAP human resources applications can enable new sources of value.
  • Execute methodologies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall) and practices for the application life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that human resource applications processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, environmental and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation.
  • Provide support in conjunction with infrastructure and operations to ensure SAP human resources applications perform to Flowers’ standards.

Assist analysts and developers in resolving issues.

  • Seek out continuous improvement opportunities and provide input and recommendations.
  • Perform other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including, but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.

Desired Experience

  • Experience leading SAP teams at a functional level including the creation of architecture standards, reference architectures and data models, including :
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in SAP application design, development, quality assurance and implementation processes.
  • 5 years of demonstrated management and leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus with exposure to technology providers and / or business clients.
  • Experience integrating SAP Human Resources solutions into a broad array of non-legacy technologies and architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the following :
  • SAP Human Resources technical and functional architecture, data model along with new and emerging SAP capabilities.
  • SAP capabilities in a majority of the following SAP Human Resources areas : Organizational Management, Payroll, HR Shared Services.

External Work Force Management, Learning & Development, Performance & Compensation, Recruiting, Time & Attendance Management and Workforce Planning & Analytics.

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP Human Resources applications (e.g., BSI, Kronos, Success Factors Employee Central, Payroll, Workforce Software, Solution Manager and HANA).
  • IT Human Resources applications, operations, service and support organizations.
  • Expert knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Proficiency in process formulation and improvement.

Desired Education

  • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, finance, business management or a related field.
  • MIS, CIS or Human Resource Management degree is preferred.
  • SHRM or SPHR certification is a plus but not required.
