Description

We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant who is a master at multi-tasking and organization. This individual will warmly welcome our patients, demonstrating empathy and compassion.

The primary responsibilities will be providing outstanding customer service and helping our team run smoothly by answering phones, scheduling patients and other administrative duties.

Clinical and Administrative responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Assist in managing physicians' schedules.
  • Medical chart documentation, prepare for appointments, reconciliation of records and follow-up as needed.
  • Phlebotomy duties including collection and processing.
  • Front desk duties including answering phones and responding to inquiries, patient check-in and check-out, coordinating appointments and obtaining prior authorizations.
  • Assist physicians by entering lab orders and in-office procedures.
  • Clean and stock exam rooms.

Skills necessary :

  • Detail-oriented, adaptable and flexible.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to work where there may be frequent shifts in direction.
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal.
  • Clinically versatile.

Minimum requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years prior medical office experience.
  • Proficiency in keyboarding skills and with electronic medical records.
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program is preferred.
  • Certificate or Registered MA.
  • 2 + years prior experience in OB / GYN office is preferred.
