Job Description
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for industrial and commercial construction projects, utilizing industry-leading estimating software and techniques.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project scope, specifications, and design requirements.
- Conduct detailed material and labor takeoffs, ensuring accurate quantification of project resources.
- Analyze and evaluate subcontractor bids, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and market trends to ensure competitive and profitable estimates.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings, providing expertise and insights to support project planning and execution.
- Continuously improve estimating processes and techniques, implementing best practices and leveraging advanced technologies.
- Work closely with the business development team to support proposal preparation and client presentations.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in industrial and commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Timberline, or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with self-performed trade work, particularly concrete, structural steel, and specialized industrial trades.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
