Project Specialist - Product Line LDG

Location : Sun Valley, C A

Shift : Monday Friday, 6 : 00 am 2 : 30pm

Salary Range : $65,200.00 $ 92,300.00 Annually

Project Specialist, Landing Gear, (Multiple Openings), Determine requirements for landing gear overhaul project; ensure timely delivery, on budget, & according to customer specifications.

Work with product line team, operations, planning & engineering to ensure complete contract fulfillment. Coordinate schedule changes, track & report cost of project compared to budget & define countermeasures.

Review margin sheets / report profitability & implement.

This position may be assigned to one or more departments depending upon the company needs at the time.

Essential Duties

This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned task. May be assigned some or all duties indicated below depending on job progression level.

  • Responsible to complete landing gear overhaul projects on time and on budget.
  • Ensure complete customer contract fulfillment.
  • Manage the progress of overhaul projects and direct responsible parties to ensure that the project progress is in line with each customer’s interest.
  • Provide feedback regarding the overhaul project status to the Account Manager and Customer Support Representative (e.g.

planned delivery, scrap material, cost)

  • Decide on delivery date changes and approve material swaps.
  • Coordinate schedule changes with the scheduling / planning team.
  • Track and report the cost of each project compared to budget and define countermeasures if necessary.
  • Review margin sheets and report profitability of each overhaul project after completion.
  • Initiate actions / projects to improve the overall profitability and follow-up on implementation with responsible parties.
  • Participate in and / or arrange project status meetings.
  • Manage post-project completion reviews and scoring systems.
  • Coordinate technical requirements with the Engineering team.
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
  • Adhere to all the rules, regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Responsibility to work with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
  • Performs other duties as required by business needs.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree required : BA in Logistics, Eng, Aero, Project engineer. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience : Two (2) to Five (5) years’ related experience.
  • Landing Gear and Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Superior presentation and negotiation skills.

Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail and ability to multitask tasks from multiple administrators. SAP Knowledge.

This position may require use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), or both.
