DESCRIPTION
Plan, direct, and coordinate computer-related activities including computer programming, electronic data processing, information systems, and systems analysis.
Perform day-to-day management of the program, and develop long-term and strategic objectives to ensure customer requirements are satisfied in future years of the contract.
Perform horizontal integration planning, and interface with other functional areas, ensure that technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
- Direct daily operations of department, including analyzing workflows, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.
- Assign and review the work of all computer-related team members.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule, customer tasking guidance is clear and unambiguous, contract personnel are qualified to perform the tasks, and potential personnel problems are prevented.
- Review and approve all systems charts and programs prior to their execution.
- Analyze computer and information needs of customer organizations, including operational and strategic perspectives. Define immediate and long-term personnel and equipment requirements.
- Coordinate problem resolution with various task managers, coordinate schedules, new resource requirements, training needs, and task clarification.
- Develop computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery.
- Plan and coordinate activities such as installation and upgrading of hardware and software, programming and systems design, development of computer networks, and implementation of Internet and intranet sites.
- Establish and apply streamlined processes and procedures that enable team to rapidly respond to surge requirements for increased contract personnel.
Assure SLA requirements are met.
- Possess knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources, economic and accounting principles and practices and the financial market.
- Possess knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
- Perform analysis and determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
- Display knowledge of manufacturing and distribution of goods, transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
- Display knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- Display knowledge of customer relationship management CRM software such as ACT! Software, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Performance Solutions Technology ManagePro, Provisioning software.
- Display knowledge of database management system software such as AlphaFour software, Database management software, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle software.
- Display knowledge of development environment software such as Borland Delphi, C, Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft Visual Basic.
- Possess knowledge of enterprise resource planning ERP software such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle JD Edwards OneWorld.
- Possess knowledge of web platform development software such as dynamic hypertext markup language (DHTML), Hypertext markup language HTML, JavaScript, scripting languages.
