Role Overview :
We are seeking a talented Patent Agent with a backgroundin mechanical engineering electrical engineering computer scienceor a related field to join the Intellectual Property Prosecutionteam.
In this dynamic role you will collaborate with team membersand clients to understand and protect cuttingedge technologies.
Youwill draft and prosecute patent applications conduct freedom tooperate studies and analyze patents to clear products for marketentry.
Preferred locations for this position are Boston andWashington DC.
Responsibilities :
- Assess scientific literature patents and patentapplication documents in fields such as mechanical engineeringelectrical engineering and computerscience.
- Provide insightful critiques andopinions on scientific data related toinventions.
- Conduct comprehensive searches forrelevant scientific articles patents and patent applicationdocuments.
- Perform indepth analyses comparinginventions with existing discoveries.
- Identifyessential elements features or components ofinventions.
- Compose detailed patentapplications including comprehensive backgrounds descriptions andclear claims.
- Draft responses to patentapplication rejections providing thorough analyses and persuasivearguments.
- Conduct clearance studies to clearclients products with respect to competitorpatents.
- Present ideas reasoning andconclusions concisely to colleagues and provide constructivefeedback.
- Work with clients on innovativetechnologies to secure patent protection and build robust IPportfolios.
Skills andQualifications :
- Degreein mechanical engineering electrical engineering computer scienceor a related field.
