Seeking a Commercial Underwriter for a Regional Property & Casualty Insurance Company.
- Maintain profitable new and renewal commercial lines accounts, including workers' compensation, general liability, and property, through risk evaluation and market analysis.
- Mentor new hires and underwriting assistants, manage assigned agents, and achieve business objectives for new accounts, renewals, and loss ratios.
- Reviewing submissions, analyzing risks, and discuss with agents to ensure accurate underwriting decisions, while collaborating with other departments to manage risk.
- Support business development through agent meetings and handle special projects as needed.
- Excellent communicator, hard worker with high energy to hit the ground running
- Degree a plus, with 3-5+ years of Commercial Underwriting experience.
