The Human Resources Director (HR Director) is responsible for all HR related activities in multiple manufacturing sites in the Cleveland area (Union & Non-Union).
This generalist role will support the business needs and the implementation of company strategy and objectives. This position is responsible for driving engagement and supporting / creating initiatives for employees to contribute a high-performance culture.
Need union experience with knowledge of collective bargaining and grievance processes.
- Ability to resolve various employee relations matters, conduct investigations, and enforce disciplinary actions.
- Responsible for the enforcement of company policies, procedures, and union work rules.
- Ability to work closely with senior level site management to achieve corporate goals.
- Establishes strategies, priorities, and job descriptions to retain top talent within the company. Works with management during the recruitment and selection process of new employees.
- Collaborate with the Legal Dept. to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Work effectively within a union and non-union environment.
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws.
- Working knowledge of collective bargaining and grievance processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of HR experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing union environment.
- Working knowledge of collective bargaining and grievance processes.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
