Assistant Director of Student and Young Alumni Engagement

By providing strategic engagement to the University of Nebraska at Omaha students, help enable the University of Nebraska Foundation to change lives and save lives.

You will join the foundation at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a transformational impact. The foundation is in the public phase of a historic campaign to raise $3 billion to build a better future for Nebraska.

Ways you will make an impact :

  • Develop and implement strategic programming and events that engage UNO students.
  • Identify, establish, and grow relationships with key student affinity groups and campus stakeholders.
  • Manage the Career Closet, a professional clothing program, by identifying and engaging volunteers, organizing inventory, and facilitating collection days.
  • Promote and drive student engagement with Maverick Network, UNO's newest online mentoring platform.
  • Manage and develop the Young Alumni Academy, an award-winning leadership development program.

    • What you need :

  • Minimum Education

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.

  • Minimum Experience

    • 1-3 years' experience in event planning, program development or leadership required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high emotional intelligence and engagement skills.
  • Creativity in organizing, planning, problem-solving, and executing complex special events in diverse settings.
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic.
  • Ability to handle confidential material responsibly and interact professionally with a wide spectrum of individuals.
