Meet Our Team :

Must be onsite at least 2-3 days a week in Waltham, MA

Our team is on the lookout for a Senior Director of UI Architecture who is passionate about advancing architectural practices around UI and front-end technologies.

In this role, you will lead initiatives of the UI architecture group, working to evolve and enhance our architectural frameworks and practices.

Your leadership will ensure that our architecture aligns with and actively supports the organization's strategic goals.

You will collaborate with product owners, lead design reviews, make architecture discussions, establish architecture standards & best practices, and foster a culture of constant innovation.

What You'll Do at Pega :

• Drive front-end architecture across Pega Infinity and Pega Launchpad
• Manage and prioritize architecture initiatives
• Lead, inspire, and mentor members of the architecture group
• Be an evangelist across the company about the architecture vision related to our UI technology
• Foster an environment of collaboration and innovation among guild members and architects across the organization
• Enable engineers throughout the organization by teaching and embedding architectural principles and best practices into the company's DNA
• Align architectural strategies with business objectives to support project successes and technological advancements
• Constantly seek out the latest developments in technology & open-source frameworks, implement PoCs as needed to ease the adoption among engineers
• Develop and maintain architectural roadmap and ensure alignment between business needs and architecture standards
• Ensure that the UI is accessible, highly performant and embrace the latest trends in the industry
• Communicate complex architectural concepts and frameworks to non-technical stakeholders

Who You Are :

You are a visionary leader with a strong background in software architecture, web technologies and a proven track record of strategic planning and execution.

You excel in communication, leadership, and stakeholder management. Your ability to articulate and translate architectural concepts to a variety of audiences sets you apart.

You are adept at fostering collaboration and driving innovation within teams.

What You've Accomplished :

• 15 to 20+ years of experience in defining architecture strategies
• Pragmatic and understand tradeoffs very well. Balance technical leadership and acumen with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices
• Thorough understanding of Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, Build Automation to enable the rapid delivery of working code
• Experience with deployments and maintenance of front-end applications in cloud environments.
• Oversee the development, quality, performance and maintenance of front-end applications
• Actively worked in the market to understand new technologies and has worked to establish connections and bring an outside in technology industry perspective in order to encourage innovation and experimentation
• Provide model, tools and frameworks to enable better decision-making at all levels of the IT organization
• Ensure alignment of the technology strategy with day-to-day work by establishing direct communication with the developers specifically and all IT and business leaders in general.
• Actively provided architectural oversight and governance processes at a team, application, and product level to ensure consistency across Products both at a business and enterprise level.
• Provided comprehensive architecture and engineering services supporting delivery teams by embedding architecture into the delivery and agile product models’ practices
• Developed a base of architectural content that includes reference models, blueprints, roadmaps, & standard methodologies in the area of application, infrastructure and software development processes.
• Proven experience in establish common capabilities and reuse strategies
• Has provided strategic technology direction and architecture vision encompassing an enterprise view across a large portfolio of capabilities
• Experience in building web applications, solutions and reusable capabilities as well as integration with SaaS solutions using superior security, standard methodologies and leading technologies
