Job Overview
The Clinical Specialty Coordinator is a Registered Nurse (RN) who coordinates and oversees a program specific in a defined specialty population.
The Clinical Specialty Coordinator works across the continuum to develop, implement, and support quality improvement efforts that improve outcomes for the specialty practice.
Areas of focus include program development, standardization of practice and documentation, communication, sharing of information, hand-offs, transitions, advocacy, patient and family guidance, education, resources, and specialty specific expertise.
The Clinical Specialty Coordinator provides guidance and support to staff in the management, provision and coordination of care in their area of expertise.
