As the IT Operations Manager you are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization’s information technology infrastructure as well as the overall planning and implementation of the IT roadmap.
This position requires an individual who can liaise with key functional teams such as Executive Leadership, end-users, and other stakeholders to discuss IT Infrastructure, plan for future initiatives, budget, and manage IT resources.
The IT Operations Manager is expected to be well organized, detail-oriented, understand and demonstrate Cloud and On-Prem Technology and Infrastructure, have current and relevant IT technology experience, ability to implement processes and change, work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Oversee and manage the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software applications, planning for current and future initiatives.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for IT operations and ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements and alignment to industry best practices.
- Develop the Strategic Technology Roadmap (STR) and the organization’s IT Roadmap aligning the business vision, mission, and goals and implements accordingly.
- Drive Strategic initiatives for the enterprise and generate client success by interpreting your client’s business operations and ensuring the strategic alignment of various technology solutions to meet those requirements.
- Develop and manage IT budgets and resources per defined plans, track progress, and report on progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Review all documentation for client environments regularly to ensure it is accurate and up to date.
- Manage the deployment, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and software, including servers, network equipment, and software applications.
- Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements to ensure high-quality support and services are provided.
- Oversee timely procurement and management of assets.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the IT operations team.
- Ensure your client receives scheduled executive summaries and applicable detailed reports including overall account metrics defined and measured, analyzed, and resulting recommendations are delivered.
- Manage projects related to IT infrastructure and operations, including planning, coordination, and execution.
- Ensure that all IT systems are properly backed up, secured, and available, and disaster recovery plans are in place.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement new and innovative solutions.
- Manage and oversee help desk functions, processes, and personnel.
- Ensure security monitoring and incident response planning and activities are carried out.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud-based systems.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Experience with IT security, including data protection, compliance, and risk management.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
- Availability to work flexible hours, as needed, to support IT operations and projects.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 2-3+ years of experience in IT operations management, including managing server and network infrastructure, software applications, and hardware.
- 3+ years’ technical experience using Microsoft-based solutions and products. MSP experience preferred.
