2nd Shift Production Supervisor of Machine Shop to provide oversight on day to day operations and ensuring production meets quality standards while fostering a safe working environment.
9 / 80 Schedule : 2nd Shift 3 : 30pm start.
Compensation : $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 + Benefits
Responsibilities :
- Provide supervision, guidance and lead machinists, technicians and other production personnel.
- Manage production schedules and assignment of tasks
- Lead meeting with staff regularly to discuss team goals and expectations.
- Foster environment to provide constructive feedback to reports on where areas of improvement are necessary.
- Encourage, coach and collaborate with staff.
- Ensure production is adhering to timely completion schedules while ensuring quality work.
- Oversee workflow and production
- Regularly inspect and audit finished products and in process jobs.
- Ensure OSHA regulations and policies are being followed to comply with safe working environment.
- Safety trainings and audits
- Investigation of incidents and reports.
- Scheduling of preventative and routine maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance department for optimal machine performance.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles
- Keep up with industry trends, technologies and best continuous improvement practices.
- Manage productions, inventory and attendance records.
- Prep and submit production and quality reports or metrics.
- Budgeting and cost control
Required
- Minimum of 10 years working in a Machine Shop with at least 2 years of leadership experience.
- In depth knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipment
- Knowledge of Universal Turning centers, Universal 5 axis mills and Swiss Screw machines.
- Blueprints, technical drawings and specs.
- Workings knowledge with precision measuring instruments and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and computer literacy skills.
