Immigration Attorney

A law firm in Fall River, MA, is seeking a dedicated Immigration Attorney to provide comprehensive legal services in immigration matters.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of immigration issues.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal documents.
• Represent clients in immigration court and before government agencies.
• Stay current on changes in immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
• Advise clients on visa applications, asylum claims, deportation defense, and other immigration matters.
• Prepare and submit petitions, applications, and other required documentation.
• Develop and execute effective legal strategies for immigration cases.
• Communicate with clients, government officials, and other stakeholders to resolve immigration issues.
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation.
• Handle a caseload efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements :

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law.
• Proven experience in representing clients in immigration court and before government agencies.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high caseload and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluency and proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.

Certifications :

Bar admission in Massachusetts is required.
