Job Overview
The Director, Decision Support Services position oversees and assists operations in managing claims expenses (Specialty, Capitation) for all lines of business (Medi-Cal, Medicare, Commercial).
Works with VP FP&A, MSO and Internal Data team to develop reports, KPI’s and continuously monitors to ensure financial data is within budget / expectations or escalate unfavorable trends to the VP FP&A.
In addition, oversees and monitors various risk pool performance. Timely analysis is of essence to ensure solutions are implemented by operations to drive change as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or MBA and / or CPA highly preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience participating or leading financial forecasting, budgeting, financial model development processes required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace required.
Minimum of 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and / or cross functional team leadership required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience healthcare, particularly in a managed care setting required.
Experience building and managing high performing analytic teams.
Experience with Workday ERP or equivalent ERP system preferred
Report building experience utilizing reporting and database tools / software (i.e. Tableau, Adaptive, etc.) required
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example : using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and / or creating a pivot table).
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example : applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and / or formatting font).
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example : inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and / or adjusting table columns).
Salary Range
$129,396.80 - $174,720.00 annually
