Semiconductor Fabrication Operator

Job Summary :

Performs wafer fabrication functions in the production of semiconductor devices. Operates equipment in performing alignment, masking, etch, coating, and plating.

In senior and highly skilled levels, performs equipment set-up and calibration, and may perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

• Operate computer-based manufacturing equipment to process wafers that meet production and quality goals in a cleanroom environment
• Follow procedures for the quality management system (QMS) and identify quality issues
• Perform set-up, calibration, preventive maintenance, and SPC tasks on wafer fabrication equipment as required
• Maintain a clean work area including safe handling of hazardous chemicals (solvents, acids, etc.), removing trash, cleaning up the cleanroom, etc.
• Interface with engineers and support development efforts by processing wafers and components as instructed
• Perform other duties as required

Job Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.

S. Departments of State or Commerce

• 1 - 2 years of related experience
• Demonstrated computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications

Other Qualifications :

• 2 - 4 years of related experience preferred
• Experience with safe handling of hazardous or volatile chemicals preferred

Working Conditions :

• Able to lift and move loads up to 40 pounds
• Able to work from a standing position for 3-5 hours per shift or sitting for 4-8 hours daily
• Able and willing to work on evening shift (primarily) and / or day shift, including some weekday and weekend overtime when required
• Able and willing to work in a clean room environment, which requires special protective-outer garments (provided by the company) to maintain cleanliness in the workspace and comply with clean room protocol.

Area will be temperature controlled (average temperature 70-degrees F).
