Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Develops, builds, and maintains the schedule of classes each semester and summer session for the Kelley School of Business undergraduate, graduate and online programs.
- Assesses academic course facility's needs, and schedules classes and sections to match needed classroom / facility types appropriate to the size and instructional needs of the courses.
- Reviews non-academic requests to schedule classroom facilities under assigned area of responsibility, including conference room and multi-purpose rooms, as well as one-time classroom scheduling for exams, conferences, case competitions, speakers, other files and information related to facilities, instructor reviews, and student events, student activities, etc.
- Facilitates new courses / course changes with Registrars' Office through Ad Astra, working closely with academic programs and department chairs to ensure accuracy of course information.
General Responsibilities
- Responsible for administrative support of departmental course scheduling, including coordinating the schedule of classes, answering course inquiries, providing enrollment data, and maintaining course descriptions.
- Performs data entry in order to build, edit, and maintain the schedule of classes for one or more semesters.
- Monitors student registration and reports issues and potential budget impacts to supervisor. Based on supervisor's instruction, may open additional sections of courses and / or delete sections depending on enrollment demand.
- Serves as a liaison with Registrar staff, as well as other departments for coordination of combined or cross-listed courses.
- Reviews and approves / denies late drop and add requests from students; communicates decisions and related information, such as late fees.
- Runs regular reports of enrollment data and communicates with supervisor.
- May assist with classroom reservations and / or collaborate with Classroom Planning staff for any room assignment issues.
- May provide guidance to other Course Scheduling staff.

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience.

EDUCATION
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment.
The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
