Job Summary :
The Facilities Electronics Technician is responsible for maintenance and repair of complex manufacturing and facilities equipment leveraging electronic and electro-mechanical components and engineered systems knowledge.
Essential Functions :
- Perform routine maintenance and technical repairs on automated or CNC equipment including lasers, circuit board surface mount machines, automated soldering machines, welders, power supplies, automatic test equipment, automated winders, helium leak detectors, sheet metal punch, hoist and trolley systems, controllers, etc.
- Use a variety of electronic testing tools to isolate failures and repair electronic and electromechanical equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, shunts, data loggers, current clamps, thermography, power analyzers, etc.
- Analyze and troubleshoot problems to the component level and determine the most efficient and cost effective solution
- Estimate and manage projects including time and materials
- Test, lock, & tag out equipment hazards following safe work practices and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA70E) (training provided)
- Maintain accurate records in computer maintenance management software by documenting activities and results contributing to future evaluation and improvement opportunities
- Follow directions and work schedules according to the assigned Maintenance Coordinator or Supervisor and the work order processing system
- Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Non-Essential Functions :
- Participate in hazardous materials and first responder team (HAZMAT - training provided)
- Maintain clean and organized workspace and equipment
- Requisition and purchase required materials; Specify, procure and maintain minimum stock inventory and process purchase transactions.
- Support team activities and improvement efforts in Kaizen, 5S and maintenance and facilities events and practices.
- Additional tasks may include small tool maintenance and repairs, AC filter replacement, security badge processing, personnel office moves, etc.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Experience : 3 years of experience performing electronic and mechanical repairs of equipment, tools and machinery
- Knowledge : Knowledge of digital, analog, linear, and non-linear electronic component characteristics, circuit designs, electro-magnetics, and general mechanics
- Skills / Abilities : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret schematics and ladder logic diagrams, assess equipment problems, problem solve using various individual or team methods, isolate root cause and repair;
- Strong skills in problem solving, component isolation and testing, and repair or replacement of components or circuits; Excellent communication skills and tact;
- Ability to work with other facilities and production personnel as a team on projects and to adapt to changing instructions or conditions;
Good hand-eye coordination, ability to climb and work on 12ft ladders and work from heights up to 25ft on man lifts
- Education / Certification : High school diploma, electronics training in an apprenticeship program, military, trade school, or degree program
- Eligibility Requirement : This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered.

Working Conditions :
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing areas may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to : eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel / wrist straps and any other required PPE
- May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
- Conditions include typical industrial environments including indoor, outdoor, and year round rooftop
- Must be able to work at heights
- Tasks may include the use of ladders, stairs, scaffolding, lifts, hand and power tools, meters and probes
- Physical locations may require lying in prone position, kneeling, squatting, lifting, and occasional overhead reaching
- Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, ladder work, forklift driving (training provided) and use of tools requiring physical strength and dexterity
- Standing : up to 100% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
- Sitting : up to 30% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
- Lifting (in pounds) : up to 50 pounds
- Pushing (in pounds) : up to 75 pounds
- Mental / Visual : use of computer
- Workspace : shop / production areas / cubicle / desk
- Some work may take place in production areas where discipline is required to reduce distractions for other employees.
- Some weekend and extended hours are required based on equipment availability and production needs.
Top Benefits :
Salary range : $31.40 to $41.20. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
