Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities.
The Rehabilitation Institute , the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery , an Advanced Primary Stroke Center , cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department .

Essential Job Duties :
Interviews patients, guarantor or family member to obtain the necessary information required to register the patient presenting to the Hospital for treatment.
Collects patient financial responsibility at time of service.
Qualifications
Requirements :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability
- Minimum of two years' experience in a hospital or related medical field preferred. Must possess knowledge of office procedures, including good telephone skills, medical terminology, typing, insurance requirements and collection practices.
Ability to be responsible for all emergency and outpatient registrations, obtaining information needed, with the ability to communicate information to patients, medical personnel, co-workers, insurance company representatives, medical groups and / or interested parties.
- General education level required.
- CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
