Due to continuing growth, our team is looking for an X3 Development Manager to support our expanding customer base. The Development Manager will lead a team responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, production-grade web and mobile applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dependencies, modularization, scalability, and experience delivering software in production environments.

They will also manage the phases of development projects, ensuring efficient use of time and resources while collaborating with functional teams to meet business objectives.

While ERP experience, particularly with Sage X3, is a plus, the focus is on best practices for web development leadership.

Platform Technology Advisors is the rapidly growing ERP / IT Solutions business of Platform Accounting Group, a professional services firm providing tax, accounting, assurance, IT consulting, and wealth management services to small and medium-sized businesses and their owners.

What you will do :

Development Team Management

Lead and manage a web development team, ensuring best practices for software development, including modularization, dependency management, and scalability.

Handle developers who are fast-paced but may require guidance on production standards, deployment practices, and business needs.

Oversee the development of production-grade software, ensuring applications are scalable and meet performance requirements.

Mentor the team in using DevOps practices like CI / CD pipelines, version control, and automated testing.

Conduct code reviews, guide improvements in code quality, and ensure adherence to business and technical standards.

Project Management and Resource Allocation

Manage project timelines, phases, and resource allocation to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Track progress across all stages of the project lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, and deployment.

Balance time and resource constraints while delivering high-quality software that aligns with business goals.

Ensure clear communication and alignment between development teams and other stakeholders, such as customers and internal team.

Collaboration with Functional Teams

Work closely with functional teams to gather requirements and ensure that technical solutions meet business objectives.

Translate functional requirements into technical tasks, coordinating with developers to ensure successful execution.

Serve as the bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.

Sage X3 Development Oversight

Provide oversight of Sage X3-related projects, ensuring alignment with web and mobile development goals.

Collaborate with Sage X3 experts to ensure the successful integration of ERP and web-based solutions.

Production-Grade Software and Scalability

Ensure that web and mobile applications are designed for scalability and can handle production-level performance.

Understand dependencies and how they impact the architecture and performance of the overall system.

What we look for :

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Statistics or another computer-related field is required.

Full stack development experience UI, application business logic, and MSSQL

Strong experience managing web development teams, with expertise in React, React Native, and JavaScript / TypeScript.

Experience with managing development projects in GitHub.

Experience in web security

Familiarity with Sage X3 and Enterprise Resource Planning software is a plus.

Proven ability to manage dependencies, modularization, and scalability in production-grade software.

Experience in managing project phases, timelines, and resource allocation.

Expertise in DevOps practices such as CI / CD pipelines, Docker, Jenkins, and version control systems.

Experience with Integrations using Soap, Rest, GraphQL APIs and SFTP

Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies for managing development processes.

Ability to mentor developers and ensure adherence to best practices in production software.

ERP system experience (such as Sage X3) is a plus but not required. Willingness to learn ERP-related skills is important.
