Overview
Job Summary Statement :
This position is a multi-skilled craftsman responsible for repairing / rebuilding hydraulic c, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical controlled production equipment.
The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, and hydraulic drawings is essential.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform troubleshooting, repair and perform reactive and preventive maintenance for all equipment and facilities.
- Dismantle defective machines / equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Layout, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic / pneumatic equipment.
- Perform all duties safely.
- Maintain the maintenance shop area in a neat and organized manner.
- Practice 5S daily.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications :
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Experience : Minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment. Must be able to operator a sit-down forklift.
- English language skills : Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
- Math skills : Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Physical Demands : Manufacturing environment. Able to lift up to 60 lbs. stoop and bend. Able to work weekends and night shift.
- Work environment : Warehouse is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications :
Problem solving and analytical skill, Action oriented results oriented, strong technical skills, Mechanical, Knowledge of machine functions, Familiarity with industrial products and Trade school a plus ;
plastic product mfg. experience.
Trade school certification preferred. Allen Bradley / GE Fanuc PLC maintenance and programming is desirable.
