Summary of the Material Handler position :
- Location : Broken Bow, Nebraska
- Starting Pay : $18 / hour
- Shift Schedule : 12-hour rotating shifts (4 days on / 4 days off)
- Available Shift Hours : 5 AM - 5 PM, 6 AM - 6 PM and 7 AM - 7 PM
Responsibilities of the Material Handler :
- Monitor and process materials daily
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and grinders
- Gain expertise in material types and program goals
- Load and operate various balers for different materials
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Load trailers with gaylords, bales and supersacks ensuring proper labeling
- Perform forklift operations and other equipment operations as needed
- Retrieve scrap material from designated collection points (plastics, cardboard, trash)
- Ensure compliance with all site and regulatory policies and procedures
- Report any changes in material volumes to supervisor
Requirements for the Material Handler position :
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to do extensive walking
- Must be able to operate a forklift
