About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Global Key Account Manager (GKAM) to lead and expand our semiconductor sales efforts with one of our most strategic customers Tesla.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, along with a strong track record of managing key customer relationships and driving business growth.
As the primary interface between our company and Tesla, you will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities, delivering exceptional customer support, and executing strategies that align with both Tesla’s and our business goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Account Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for Tesla, managing all aspects of the customer relationship.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within Tesla.Understand Tesla’s business objectives, technical requirements, and supply chain strategies to align our products and solutions with their needs.
Ensure customer satisfaction by proactively addressing issues, managing expectations, and providing exceptional service.
Sales & Business Development : Identify and develop new business opportunities within Tesla’s ecosystem, including electric vehicles (EVs), energy products, and autonomous technologies.
Drive revenue growth through strategic engagement, cross-selling, and up-selling of semiconductor products.Collaborate with Tesla’s procurement, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure our solutions meet their technical specifications and timelines.
Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and long-term agreements to achieve favorable terms for both parties.
Product & Technology Expertise : Stay informed about the latest advancements in semiconductor technology, particularly in power electronics.
Work closely with internal product teams and FAE to ensure Tesla receives cutting-edge solutions that support their innovation in EVs and autonomous driving.
Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer needs and market trends to influence future product roadmaps.
Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, supply chain, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless execution of Tesla’s projects.
Coordinate with global sales teams to maintain consistent account strategy and share best practices.Act as a liaison between Tesla and internal stakeholders to resolve any technical or operational challenges.
Strategic Planning & Reporting : Develop and execute an account strategy for Tesla, focusing on long-term partnership growth.
Regularly report on account performance, sales forecasts, and key metrics to senior management.Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and Tesla’s future direction to identify risks and opportunities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in technical sales, account management, or business development, with a focus on Tier 1 automotive accounts or high-tech industries.
- Proven experience managing complex, global accounts, preferably with a major OEM such as Tesla.
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor products and applications, especially in power electronics, sensors, microcontrollers, and automotive technologies.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to travel globally to meet with Tesla’s teams and attend industry events.
Preferred Skills :
- Familiarity with Tesla’s product lines and their specific semiconductor needs in electric vehicles, autonomous driving, and energy solutions.
- Technical expertise in areas such as silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) technologies for EVs.
- Strong understanding of the automotive industry, particularly in EVs, ADAS, and autonomous systems.
