Job Description :
Leading packaging company in northern IL is busy. Due to client demand the company is hiring a Lead Sheetfed Press Operator for 12 hr.
night shift.Responsibilities include : Read and interpret job orders.Set up, operate and maintain 40" multi-color offset sheetfed press to meet production and quality requirements.
Monitor production and quality of high quality package printed goods throughout the manufacturing process. Accurately report progress in computer system.
Troubleshoot machine problems. Support department and company through Lean Manufacturing Initiatives. Qualifications include : Minimum 5 years' experience operating multi-color 40" sheetfed presses such as Heidelberg, Komori, Man Roland, etc.
Experience with UV a plus.Good eye for color.Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills. Working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma Practices a plus.
Works well with a press crew teamAble to work 12 hr. night shift (6pm - 6am) on a 3,4 schedule. Starting hourly rate $26 - $30 + shift differential, benefits, profit sharing program, 401k and relocation assistance.
