Job Title : Quality Technician
Shift - 2nd (10am-8pm OR 12pm-10pm)
Pay - $20-$26
Job Description
Perform testing on engine parts. The process includes receiving parts from operators, taking them to the band saw, cutting the parts, running contamination tests, chemical tests, hardness testing, acid etching, and microscopic testing.
Enter data into the computer and report any quality issues. Undergo a 2-3 week training period before moving to shift. Responsibilities also include cut-up, mounting, and preparing parts for metallurgical testing, surface etching for analysis, hardness and microstructure analysis, cleanliness testing, measuring and recording coolant and washer parameters, participating in the addition of chemicals, performing bio-stick dip tests, maintaining coolant filters and washers, communicating with the customer, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, maintaining tools and utility equipment, supporting site staff general organization initiatives, interacting with the customer's production and technical personnel, operating hand tools and shop tools, working flexible hours, and carrying out other duties as directed.
Must be able to safely work in potentially hazardous situations while adhering to safety rules.
2nd 10am-8 : 30pm or noon - 10 : 30pm )
Will work a 4 / 10 schedule - will work one weekend day and have 3 days off per week
days will be determined after hired / fully staffed - try to pick days off that work best for each employee

Hard Skills
- must be able to lift 40lb cranks (engine parts)
- must have basic math skills
- must come from quality lab experience (chemical, heat treat, hardness, non destructive)
- must have computer skills and be able to enter data - use Microsoft
