Position Summary :
Responsible for providing input and driving the treatment strategy as part of the Sulzer 2028 initiative for the Headworks, Filtration and Industrial Treatment segments for the US and Canada.
Collaborate closely with the management team and segment National Sales Managers to achieving revenue targets (new unit & aftermarket) by segment and product line.
The right person will be able to manage in multiple sales environments : Municipal sells through representative and distribution firms, Industrial process sells through a direct sales team as well as through collaboration with the Industrial segment (rotating equipment) managers.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities :
Works with the Head of Sales North America, the North American Director of Business Development, and the reporting National Sales Managers as well as with the Global Treatment segment managers to develop the strategic plans that support the Sulzer 2028 growth plan.
Holds themselves, their team and other members of the management team to high standards and total accountability for achieving results.
Develops budgets and business plans to achieve strategic objectives.
Ensure territory coverage is complete and specialized for each specific sub-segment
Provide input to product development by assessing market trends, regional feedback, and competitor activities
Provides timely feedback to the Head of Sales North America and other senior leaders regarding market performance, representative firm performance and potential opportunities or threats during the scheduled meetings.
Coordinate complete resolution of customer service failures that rise to the level of this position because of size, pervasiveness, or egregiousness.
Represents the Company at selected regional and national trade shows and conferences.
Maintains a professional image as a representative of the Company.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education, Experience, & Skills :
Required :
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years progressive regional sales experience in the Treatment industry
Bachelor’s degree required
History of consistently achieving revenue targets
Has the emotional intelligence to coach and train subordinates
Ability to speak intelligently on various treatment equipment and processes
Must be able to travel when needed to achieve targets
Ability to hold monthly performance meeting and hold under-performers accountable
Strong interpersonal personal skills
High degree of likeability to engender rep firm openness and partnering
Expert organizational and time management skills
Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.),
Ability to interact with other team members to achieve overall goals
Self-driven and entrepreneurial
