Manager, Product Development Web Search within Products Experience & Frameworks Team

The Enterprise Digital Experiences Team (EDX) is responsible for the product management and design of American Express’ proprietary digital products Amex Mobile App, , Amex Offers and Customer Personalization.

As a team we are focused on driving engagement, satisfaction and revenue through a combination of best-in-class user experience and compelling features and functionality.

We have a global remit and, with our partners across the company, we bring the best of American Express’ payment and related services to life through our digital experiences.

We're looking for an experienced and dynamic digital Product Manager to join the Search and Chat team, focusing on the strategy and development of the Search experience in the Web channel.

This is a critical role as we look to make Search a strategic asset to provide customers with the help they need driving customer satisfaction and reducing call volume.

As part of this, the successful candidate will also get to work on using Gen AI that’s becoming a key component of any Search experiences across channels.

This Product Manager partners closely with a team of product managers, engineers, designers, analytics and effectively engages multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Key responsibilities of this Product Manager include but are not limited to :

  • Defining the product vision and roadmap of Web Search by working with leadership, key stakeholders, and partners
  • Drives global development for an experience with millions of customer visits
  • Works closely with technology teams to develop, test and deliver features and services
  • Translates product roadmap into well-defined product requirements / user stories and acceptance test criteria
  • Communicates the vision of Search, its impact to servicing and other content, and the high-level business needs to leaders across the organization
  • Leads prioritization and development efforts with scrum team
  • Translates product roadmap into well-defined product requirements / user stories and acceptance test criteria
  • Embodies design-thinking in your practice, including empathy and journey mapping, and UX research
  • Leverages data and analytics (qualitative + quantitative) to drive informed decisions, experimentation and product strategy.
  • Understands and apply new trends and competitive best practices into product roadmap and requirements.
  • Supports development of appropriate tracking and reporting to determine product performance.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 2 / 3+ years of experience in Product Management / Development
  • Proven track record with consumer-facing product(s) and a core product vision
  • Experience with rapid and iterative software development methodologies
  • A solid understanding of application architecture (e.g. web, native app, PWA, etc)
  • Knowledge of reporting / analytical applications, i.e. Adobe
  • Experience with agile product development methodologies and tools (JIRA, Rally, LPM, etc.) a plus
  • Impeccable communication skills, both on and offline

Salary Range : $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
